The Clovis East Orchestra is the primary orchestral ensemble at Clovis East, where students will play challenging and rewarding music. This ensemble is an audition based group made up of students grades 7th - 12th from Reyburn Intermediate School and Clovis East High School. The ensemble rehearses after school from 3-5pm on Tuesdays. Students participating in this ensemble are required to participate in another core instrumental music class at Reyburn Intermediate or Clovis East High School.
The Clovis East String Quartet is made up of four of the top musicians in the Clovis East Orchestra program. These students rehearse weekly as a quartet and are cliniced monthly by their director and professional string coaches. This ensemble performs for events on campus, throughout the district and across the valley. If you are interested in hiring this ensemble for an event please contact Ali Gilroy Golden email@example.com with your name, best contact phone number and email address, the date, location and time of your event as well as the purpose of the event.
For the 2081-19 school year we will be expanding the Clovis East Orchestras into two full time levels!!!

Auditions are required for participation and enrollment in the Chamber Orchestra.
CONCERT REPORT OPPORTUNITIES:
Concert reports are due at the end of this month, Friday April 27th! Please do what you can to get your student to one of these events. Students have been reminded of this report several times throughout the year. It is such a great experience for our students to watch up close a professional on his/her instrument! As I’ve mentioned before, please double check with specific schools/organizations regarding their calendar of performances as they sometimes change and updates aren’t always published to websites by the time I’m emailing. Some upcoming professional concert reports:
April 22nd – ORCHESTRA (woodwinds, brass, percussion and strings) – Sequoia Symphony
Ms. G performs (with her husband!) in Visalia at 3pm
This is in Visalia, but if you’d like tickets let Ms G know ASAP and I might able to get them at a discount.
April 24th – STRINGS – String Quartet Recital at Fresno Pacific – 7:30pm
April 26th – STRINGS - Musica Pacific Orchestra from Fresno Pacific – 7:30pm
We’ll accept “late” papers if your student attends any of the following performances. Papers are due the day immediately following the concert if you're attending one of the following:
April 28th - ORCHESTRA (woodwinds, brass, percussion and strings) – Fresno State Symphony Orchestra – 8pm
May 1st – ORCHESTRA (woodwinds, brass, percussion and strings) – Fresno Community Orchestra
Ms. G performs at Fresno City College at 7:30pm (due May 2nd)
