Clovis East High School Orchestra
The Clovis East Concert Orchestra is our entry level orchestral ensemble at Clovis East High School, where students will play challenging and rewarding music. The ensemble will perform at concerts and festivals through the year, and will require some after-school commitment for rehearsals and performances. All new orchestra students and most 9th Grade students will be placed in the Concert Orchestra.
The Clovis East String Orchestra is our intermediate level orchestral ensemble at Clovis East High School, where students will play challenging and rewarding music. The ensemble will perform at concerts and festivals through the year, and will require some after-school commitment for rehearsals and performances.
The Clovis East Chamber Orchestra is the premier orchestral ensemble at the Reagan Educational Center. This ensemble is an audition based group made up of students grades 9th - 12th from Clovis East High School. Students in this ensemble will be challenged with higher level orchestral selections. This ensemble will perform at concerts and festivals through the year, and may require some after-school commitment for rehearsal of Symphony Orchestra with wind and percussion students.
The Reagan Educational Center Symphony Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra ensemble at the Reagan Educational Center. This ensemble is made up of students grades 8th - 12th from Reyburn Intermediate School and Clovis East High School. Wind and percussion students must audition with the directors to participate. All Clovis East string students are encouraged to participate while select 8th grade string musicians will be invited. This ensemble rehearses during zero period and students may earn course credit.
The Clovis East String Quartet is made up of four of the top musicians in the Clovis East Orchestra program. These students rehearse weekly as a quartet and are cliniced monthly by their director and professional string coaches. This ensemble performs for events on campus, throughout the district and across the valley. Auditions are required for String and Chamber Orchestras and will take place in April-May of the previous school year.
