“Music for the sake of music." Any responsible music educator will emphatically echo this important mantra; it is the keystone theme that serves as the foundation of music teaching, music learning, and music performance. There is no substitute or replacement for music making as it relates to the positive growth and development of the human mind, body, and spirit. Participation in band, guard, and orchestra, avails the musician to the infinite journey of creative expression connecting to a language (music) that is understood, communicated, and appreciated by all of mankind around the globe. We have high expectations for our students both in rehearsals both in and outside of the classroom, both as musicians and as young men and women. We teach our students to live in a Win/Win world, where we win and lose together. We help push each other to be our absolute best because we know we succeed and fail as a team. We teach our students not to quit until it's perfect, raising the bar each and every day. We believe in making memories that will last a life time and providing an educational and rewarding experience for all.
