Clovis East Symphonic Winds
The Clovis East Symphonic Winds is a performing wind band ensemble comprised of intermediate and advanced woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists. Symphonic Winds students focus on expanding ensemble skills, musical concepts, and technical skills. The Symphonic Winds performs a wide variety of wind band repertoire. Students in this ensemble have several performance opportunities such as our fall, winter, and spring concerts, as well as at several fundraising and community events. During the spring semester, the Symphonic Winds perform at several local and state music contests and festivals.
Clovis East Wind Ensemble
The Clovis East Wind Ensemble is the premiere Wind Band for advanced woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists. This ensemble is determined through an audition process each year. The Clovis East High School Wind Ensemble performs standard and contemporary band repertoire including transcriptions and college level pieces. Advanced technical concepts and skills are taught as required by the musical selections. The Wind Ensemble performs at all school band concert events, as well as multiple local, state, and national music contests and festivals each year. The Wind Ensemble was recently selected to perform on stage in the prestigious Chicago Symphony Hall in Spring 2020. Students of this ensemble are highly encouraged to explore solo and small ensemble performance opportunities, and encouraged to audition for local and state level honor groups.
