Chicago March 12 - 16, 2027
In case you missed it—we are headed to Chicago in March 2027! If you were unable to attend our informational meeting last school year, please reach out to your ensemble directly for more information. At this time we are still accepting students on our ‘waitlist’ and hope to be able to take everyone interested in going.
Trip Overview
📍Destination: Chicago, Illinois
📅Travel Dates: March 12 - 16, 2027
🎵Highlights Include:
• Performance at Symphony Hall
• Professional Clinics by some of the worlds top music educators
• Attend Chicago Symphony Orchestra Concert at Symphony Hall
• Enjoy the famous Chicago Architecture River Cruise
• plus so many more educational and cultural experiences across this great city!
Important Details & Deadlines 📅
Registration Deadline has officially passed, however, we are still accepting registrations to join our waitlist. DO SO HERE. All Clovis East Band and Orchestra students interested in attending, as well as chaperones, must complete the registration form by this Friday, August 28. Anyone that registered after our initial deadline of June 14th will be placed on a waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.
Academic & Attendance Expectations 🏫
Students attending this trip are expected to maintain strong academic standing.
Students that have maintained at least a 2.5 GPA or higher should be totally fine. If your student has slipped below this GPA at any point during their 7-12 career, we encourage you to have a serious conversation with your student before committing to this trip. Please note that district administration has made it clear that students must meet all eligibility requirements in order to participate, even if you're paid in full and cannot receive a refund from the travel company. Because students will miss school during the trip, maintaining strong academics and attendance throughout the year is essential.
Students may become ineligible if they:
- Fall below the district minimum 2.0 GPA
- Earn D's or F's during the grading period when we'll be traveling
- Have poor attendance or excessive unexcused tardies
- Are suspended or expelled or have any other behavior issues throughout campus
Help us get there! We are currently working to raise over $375,000 to provide this once in a lifetime opportunity for our students. And YOU can help!💰
Every donation is tax-deductible and helps support this educational experience.
